Mission: Getting My Body Back After Baby (13)

Baby A is 20 weeks old!! Time is flying, and progress is slowing. This can be discouraging at times as I would just like my pre-baby body back. People keep reminding me it hasn't been long, but patience definitely isn't easy.

Check my previous posts for week 8 through 12 weigh ins!

Week 13 I weighed in at 110.2 and 28 inch waist

Home Workout Equipment That I Love!

Working out at home with videos can get boring after a while, especially if you are someone who knows what they are doing.

Here are some ideas for home workout equipment that can be used in a small home or apartment! Almost all of these can be stored under the bed if needed!

1. Mini Stepper for cardio. I love mine. It is almost the same, only it's red & a different brand name. But it has all the same features and was about the same price! Get the benefits of a stepper without taking up all the space. Especially great if you don't have a gym membership &  great if the weather doesn't permit a long walk.

Approx. $40-60 price range depending on brand/store

Target @ $49.50

2. Free Weights! These are great for building muscle!! I like to have a variety of different dumbbells in my home. 5 lbs, 10 lbs, 15 lbs, and 20 lbs are all great  sizes to keep around! There are lots of different dumbbells with  different price points, but I have some of the Reebok ones and I love them.

3. Weight lifting Gloves are also great!  I like to lift until my muscles are sore, not until my hands are sore, and hands get sore quick without gloves! Plus they help if you are someone who gets slippery hands when lifting.

There are many different brands to try. find what's best for you!

Target  @ $12.59

4.  Stability Balls, I love my stability ball for crunches & angled chest presses and flyes. There are so many uses for a balance ball!  I have seen them in many stores, including Walmart, Kmart, Target, etc. Prices typically ranging from $20-30.

  GoFit 75cm Professional Stability Ball

5. A great free tool for those wanting to work out with their own routine and not video, I like the bodbuilding.com "Your Best Body" plan. I think it's great for those who don't know how to build a workout routine, but aren't into workout videos.

http://www.bodybuilding.com/guides/

6. Pull Up Bar, these are great for getting in pull ups in a variety of grips, but also for doing leg lifts if you have the ab straps.

Premium Portable Gym Doorway Chin-up Pull-Up Bar perfect for any home exercise program or physical therapy
I have seen these @ $24 and up

7. If you are a workout video person, I absolutely love ChaLean Extreme. In my opinion it's the best workout video system I have tried.

Plus 5 FREE Gifts Worth $120.00!

http://www.beachbody.com/product/fitness_programs/chalean_extreme.do

These are just what I have used at home when I am I not at the gym. I love to change things up and always am looking for new fitness products to try. Actually the Journey Gym looks pretty cool and I would love to try that sometime.

What do you like to use when you workout at home?
Is there something you would add to this list?

Always talk to your healthcare provider before working out, and use common sense when using workout equipment. Use fitness equipment at your own risk.

Mission: Getting My Body Back After Baby (12)

19 weeks ago I gave birth to Baby A. Which means for 19 weeks I've been
wanting to lose this belly!
Some people say it's been a short time,  but to me it feels like forever.

(To read her birth story, click on the Pregnancy & Parenting tab)

Thankfully I have gotten the rest of my body into shape, it just seems as though my lower belly isn't "snapping back"
like people have told me. Thank goodness for a few honest mom friends of mine, I found out that no one "snaps back" right away. I decided it was a cruel joke for anyone to say that your body will " snap right back in no time".
They are lying.

It takes a ton of hard work and patience, that is what I have figured out over the past 4 months.

So now that my rant is done, on to the weigh ins!

Check my previous posts for week 8 through 12 weigh ins!

Week 13 I weighed in at 110.2 and 28 inch waist
Week 14 I weighed in at 107.8 lbs. and 27 1/4 inch waist
Week 15 I weighed in at 107.2 lbs and 27 inch waist
Week 16 I weighed in at 106.4 ;bs. and 27 inch waist
Week 17 I weighed in at 105.4 lbs. and 26 1/2 inch waist
Week 18 I weighed  in at : 105.4 lbs. (Stayed the same) and 26 1/8 inch waist

Week 19:

104.4 lbs.
26 inches

I have reached the high end of my weight goal at  between the 101-105 lbs. and I have an inch left in my waist.
I am very happy at having progress this week, as last week was a little discouraging.

I am hoping the skin on the lower part of my tummy starts to catch up to the progress I have made. It's not fun having wrinkles on
my tummy.

Mission: Getting My Body Back After Baby (11)

Baby A was born 18 weeks ago. She is growing fast! Happy news is she had her well visit and Dr. said she is perfectly healthy :) Great news for a new mommy to hear!
(To read her birth story, click on the Pregnancy & Parenting tab)

Check my previous posts for week 8 through 12 weigh ins!

Week 13 I weighed in at 110.2 and 28 inch waist
Week 14 I weighed in at 107.8 lbs. and 27 1/4 inch waist
Week 15 I weighed in at 107.2 lbs and 27 inch waist
Week 16 I weighed in at 106.4 ;bs. and 27 inch waist
Week 17 I weighed in at 105.4 lbs. and 26 1/2 inch waist

Week 18 weigh in:

105.4 lbs. (Stayed the same)
26 1/8 inches on waist

So I didn't lose any lbs. this week, I did lose a little in inches which is good. I was kind of expecting this because I have known that I had a lot of larger losses recently, and I have been feeling my body building muscle all over. Muscle will make me weigh more for a bit before I lose again. But I do feel my body tightening and am seeing definition in legs, arms, etc. This is good!

Another great thing about this week is I fit into a smaller pair of my jeans! They were size 1! I was soooooo happy about this, this means that my lower body is back to the size it was before Baby A. Although my hips aren't entirely back, they are a little snug on my hip bones. But that is okay!!

I really worked out hard this week like always. In fact I worked out a little harder in the past week than I probably should have. I was sore most of the week. I kept going back to the gym and I am happy about it! My body is really shaping up! Now if only I could get rid of this loose skin.....grrrr.

I am still  working on a goal range of 101-105 lbs. and 24-25 inch waist. I really really hope to be looking good enough for a bikini this summer! What do you think, can I do it?

Haha don't mind the advertisement on the t-shirt! This is a t-shirt from the Arnold 2012 EXPO that hubby and I went to this year. He absolutely loves his Gaspari protein! They are one of the best supplement companies! If they were more allergy friendly, I too would take their products!

Thank you for following me on my journey to getting my body back!

Mission: Getting My Body Back After Baby! (9)

I gave birth to Baby A 16 weeks ago...she is growing so fast!
She can already roll over & is trying to talk!
(To read her birth story, click on the Pregnancy & Parenting tab)

Check my previous posts for week 8 through 10 weigh ins!

Week 11 I weighed in at 111 lbs. and 29 inch waist.
Week 12 I weighed in at 110.5 lbs. and 28 1/2 inch waist
Week 13 I weighed in at 110.2 and 28 inch waist
Week 14 I weighed in at 107.8 lbs. and 27 1/4 inch waist
Week 15 I weighed in at 107.2 lbs and 27 inch waist

Week 16 weigh in:
106.4 lbs.
27 in. waist (just below 27)

I had some really great workouts at the gym this week!! I even added box jumps to my routine!! Even though I didn't lose inches this week, I know my abs are tightening. They feel tighter & look tighter, and are just below the 27 instead right at 27 inches.

I feel good!! The jeans I barely fit into last week are baggy on me this week!! so I am losing inches in my lower body too!!

1.4 lbs to go & 2 inches!!

I am still  working on a goal range of 101-105 lbs. and 24-25 inch waist.

Mission: Getting My Body Back After Baby (7)

Wow! It's been 14 weeks since Baby A was born, and granted I wasn't able to work out the first half, due to not having been cleared by the Dr. yet.

Baby A is growing and such a happy baby, I am so blessed.

So! Here's the weigh ins:

Check my previous posts for week 8 through 10 weigh ins!

Week 11 I weighed in at 111 lbs. and 29 inch waist.
Week 12 I weighed in at 110.5 lbs. and 28 1/2 inch waist
Week 13 I weighed in at 110.2 and 28 inch waist

My week 14 stats:
107.8 lbs.
27 1/4 inch waist

What a change! I am so happy! I can feel my abs started to tighten too! Down from 28 to 27 1/4 inches, and down from 110.2 to 107.8! That's over 2 lbs. lost!

This week I enjoyed using the elliptical instead of the treadmill. I like that with the elliptical I can use resistance. I 1.6 miles at a 10 incline and 3 resistance :) I also did weight training and crunches this week.

I am still  working on a goal range of 101-105 lbs. and 24-25 inch waist.!

My diet is staying clean! We are eating lots of fruit and veggies, and lean protein around here :)

Week 10 I weighed in at 110 lbs. and 29 inches in my waist.

Week 11 I weighed in at 111 lbs. and 29 inch waist.

My stats this week:

Check out last weeks post to see my workout schedule!

Hubby and I joined a gym a couple of days ago! I am very excited about this as now I can use a treadmill and machines! Up until this point I have been doing workouts at home with videos & on my own, with free weights. So now I can do both home & gym workouts. I am very excited about this!

Mission: Getting My Body Back After Baby! (4) Updated with PIcs!

**Was originally posted 2/9/12 without pictures**

It has been 11 weeks since I gave birth to Baby A!

Week 8 I weighed in at 113 lbs, down from 118 lbs.

Week 9 I weighed in at 112 lbs. and 29 1/2 inches waist measurement.

Week 10 I weighed in at 110 lbs. and 29 inches in my waist.

My stats this week:

111 lbs
29 inch waist

I am frustrated at I have gained 1 lb. since last week, despite the healthy diet & exercise. I am hoping it's just water weight. I have not lost anymore inches, my waist has stayed the same. This is also frustrating as I would like to wear SOMETHING in my closet....SOON.

I have been working really hard. I have been sticking to my weight training and yoga routines. Today is yoga and abs.
My workout schedule looks like:

MONDAY- 30 to 40 min weight training
TUESDAY- Yoga
WEDNESDAY- 30 to 40 min weight training
THURSDAY- Yoga & Abs
FRIDAY- 30 to 40 min weight training
Cardio if I have time.

I have not posted my progress pictures this week as we have had a busy week & the pictures aren't on the computer yet. However I will update this post with the pictures once we get them off the camera.

**UPDATED**

Thank you all for following me on my journey to get my pre-baby body back!

Moms, how long did it take YOU to fit into your prepregnancy clothes?
I feel like it's taking FOREVER.

Mission: Getting My Body Back After Baby!

This is my first post on my journey to getting my body back after Baby A.
It has been 8 weeks since I gave birth to Baby A.

Here's my progress before workouts (week 7):

Not pretty right?!
(118 lbs. & 30 inch waist in these pictures)

Here are some pictures of me before baby & at 9 months pregnant:

I gained 41 lbs. while pregnant with Baby A, putting my weight up at 140 lbs.

This is me before Baby A at 99 lbs & 24.5 inch waist.

I have been doing body weight exercises, light weights, stretching, and walking for cardio.
I would like to get back to running 3.5 miles, and lifting heavy weights, and doing yoga.

My goal weight is 101 lbs.

Today I weighed in at 113 lbs (week 8).

I am following a healthy gluten free diet, filled with chicken, turkey, brown rice, and veggies. The same diet I followed before and during pregnancy...with a few changes to supplements.

Make This Year a Great One!

What are your New Year's Resolutions?
Some people don't make resolutions, and that is okay. I however make a resolution every year, and *gasp* have kept my resolutions the past several years.

For me a resolution is always a difficult, yet obtainable goal. Why not make it something to reach for? After all you have a whole year to do it. However, making a goal too lofty can leave you with unkept resolutions each year.

What is my resolution this year?

To lose the baby weight.

Many of you know from reading my blog that Baby A ( my first baby) was born 11/22/11. That being said, I am left with baby weight and loose skin to get rid of.

Thankfully I was in good shape before getting pregnant with Baby A, so my goal should be a lot more attainable than if I hadn't.

I am waiting on the Dr.'s okay to exercise, but hopefully by next week I will be exercising up a storm!

I came home from the hospital with 32 lbs. to lose ( out of 40 gained during pregnant), and with healthy eating & breastfeeding I am down to 13 1/2 lbs. to lose.

Follow me on my journey to getting my body back!

Lolli
